The day I married my best friend.  I can't believe a whole year has passed since our wedding day.  I am so blessed to have found a man like you, Casey.  You have always been there for me when I need you most, to make me laugh, or to give me a shoulder to cry on.  You sense of humor and outlook on life always reminds me to not take myself too seriously.  Our wedding day was so beautiful!  It was everything I had hoped (and planned) for.  I would marry you a thousand times over!!  (Is it too soon to renew our vows?) I'm so excited to see how our life together unfolds!  I love you!

Here are a few details from our wedding day:

Our wedding was held on Orcas Island at the Rosario Resort.  It was an amazing venue!

The weather was absolutely perfect, the day was perfect!  (Only one small seating chart error- my bad)

Our wedding favors were harmonicas and fake mustaches.  Some people wore two mustaches, and some used them as eyebrows.  It was hilarious!

Our colors: pink and brown... my shoes were blue.  (my something blue)

We had tons of candles and flowers and beer...

Our first dance: "First Day of My Life" by Bright Eyes.  (it makes me cry every time)

We wrote our own vows and had our friend Sean Williams marry us.

I couldn't have done it without my sister-in-law Jamie.  She helped me hand make all the decorations.  Well, she probably did most toward the end.

I hand made each invite.  It took forever!!  That is 2 months of my life that I will never get back.  But it was worth it.

I would do it all over again!  I loved it!  It was the best day of my life!

Thanks to the crazy talented Sean Flanigan for documenting our day in such an artistic and beautiful way.  A whole year later and I'm still crying while watching the slideshow.     Check it out here.  The slideshow is amazing- it's a perfect story of how our wedding day unfolded. :)

I'm a photographer, not a writer. (That's why I keep my writing to a  minimum on the blog)  I'm sorry if this rambles on... I just wanted the whole world to know how much my wedding day meant to me.

On a side note: this will be my last post on this blog... stayed tuned for a super new blog after the holiday weekend.  :)  Thanks for reading.  Now look at some pic's.

Lots of love,
The Luckiest Girl in the World

Jodie & Manny (while in San Diego)

My oldest and best friend in the world got married while I was in San Diego. I was the maid of honor, and while I didn't take many pictures, I have a few I thought I'd share. I got my camera out while we were getting ready... the super awesome Kim Seidl was the offical photographer. (I hope I didn't get in your way, Kim- I tried to only take a few. :) ) I can't wait to see her photos from the day. I was so honored to be a part of this wedding. Jodie means the world to me and I'm so glad she found such a great guy!! Jodie & Manny, I know you will have a wonderful life together! I love you guys!

Game Ball

While in San Diego I was able to attend one of my nephew's little league games.
Their team had never won a game, and Tyler had only hit the ball once-ever. (He's new to the game.)
He was feeling down, but toward the end of the game he finally hit the ball.
The crowd went wild.
Because of his hit, his team won & he won the game ball.
I've never seen him so happy.
I love these photos.

It's the little things in life...

Vanessa & Dean

The hottest day I can remember here in Seattle-EVER-was Vanessa & Dean's beautiful wedding day. Hey- at least it didn't rain! Besides sweating all day- I had a great time hanging out with these two. Congrats guys! Here are a few off the top that I liked.

Out of office & new lens

Off to San Diego for a little vacation and a wedding- that I am actually in!  I'm excited to see family & friends while I'm down there and to enjoy a little down time.  I head out Sunday (my 30th birthday- ouch) after Vanessa & Dean's fantastic wedding on Saturday.  I've got to get packing... On a side note- I got a new lens- the Canon 24mm 1.4.  Here are a few shots of my pups hamin' it up for the new lens.  Being this cute should be illegal.  Seriously.

Eve & Chun Yong [ part 1 ]

Eve & Chun Yong are getting married in Singapore this summer.  Unfortunately, they already have a photographer booked over there- darn it!  I was honored to do a two part photo session for them.  It is tradition in Singapore to do your wedding portraits before the wedding day- which makes a lot of sense.  Why don't we do that here?  We did a casual downtown shoot, and then we headed up to the tulip festival for part two.  More to come.
